The Miss Hart Pageant got things underway for Hart Days this past Thursday. Toree Jo Evans was honored with the Miss Hart title and Little Miss Hart was A’Riah Cedillo. “Our Roots Run Deep”, was a fitting theme the celebration.

Panhandle Texas Agri-Women to host “Taste of Texas”

The Panhandle Texas Agri-Women will be hosting their 2nd Annual “Taste of Texas” on Aug. 13 at the Yellow Rose Inn in Nazareth. The event, which begins at 6:30 p.m., is a farm-to-table dinner and dancing event, silent auction and beef raffle.

Castro County Sheriff Sal Rivera and Patrol Sgt. Samuel Cavazos recently attended the Sheriffs Association of Texas 144th Training Conference at the Ft. Worth Convention Center in Ft. Worth, Texas on July 23 through July 26.
