The Dimmitt Cemetery Association will hold its 2022 Annual Meeting and workday on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30 at the cemetery. Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery is located one mile south of Dimmit on FM 3215. The workday will start at 8 a.m. and the business meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Nazareth FFA attended the Area 1 FFA Convention and banquet this past week. Dayson Schacher won the Area 1 representative for the Ryan Mott Scholarship in June. Grady McAlister received his Area 1 State Officer retiring plaque and scholarship.

A Castro County student recently was honored by the Oklahoma State University Ferguson College of Agriculture with academic scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year. Emily Heitschmidt is an agribusiness student from Nazareth, Texas. She received the E. Pauline Osborne Agriculture Scholarship.
