I’ve been reading old articles we’ve had around the house since the 1980s. I keep a file folder near my desk that holds newspaper and magazine clippings. Some days I read about things that happened last year.

Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor, I helped with Hart Days from 1983 until last year. After many years of shepherding the event by a few Hart community residents, it was taken away from us. We decided to cancel it for 2020 because of Covid and five of us made the same decision in 2021.

Rules to Live By

My family didn’t go to church often. I remember mostly attending Kirkville Methodist at Christmas and Easter time. I do have a few special memories. I sang in choir for a brief time, wore a robe too big for me and recall entering from the vestibule with other choir members.

Dimmitt Middle School Robotics has worked extremely hard this year and it paid off, with several DMS teams qualifying to attend the state meet.

The DHS One Act Play theater cast and crew of “Her Senior Year” won an Advancing Play Award and will now proceed to the next level of UIL OAP competition. DHS actress Delia Vargas was named Best Actress and Will VanZee received Honorable Mention. Maria Bernal earned the All-Star Tech Crew award.
