Swiftettes defeat Lady Mustangs, 72-28

The Swiftettes scored a big win over the Wildorado Lady Mustangs on Tuesday, 72-28. The Swiftettes shot 28/53 (53%) field goals with 12/31 (39%) 3-pointers, 4/9 (44%) free throws, collected 29 rebounds, 23 assists, 13 steals and one block.

Bobcats runners-up at tourney

The Bobcats placed runnersup at the Bobcat Holiday Invitational Basketball Tourney this past weekend, after losing the championship game to the Borger Bulldogs, 74-47. The third-place team was Abernathy and consolation went to Childress.

The Dimmitt Bobbies fell to the Farwell Lady Steers, 67-16 The Bobbies came in with 6/6 field goals (100%); 4/11 free throws (36%); 13 rebounds and one assist.

Ontiveros named to 3-A Volleyball Academic All-State

DHS senior Michelle Ontiveros has been named to the 3-A Volleyball Academic All-State. To qualify for Academic All-State, nominees must be a senior, have an overall grade point average of 94 or above for grades 9-11, be a varsity participant and be of good moral character.
