Swiftettes into basketball season

The Nazareth Swiftettes are into basketball season with a heavy schedule of competition. In addition to the regular games, they will be participating in the Whataburger Tournament in Fort Worth later in December. Swiftettes v Canyon The Nazareth Swiftettes fell to the Canyon Lady Eagles, 71-49.

Swifts fall to Eagles, 68-27

The Nazareth Swifts fell to the Canyon Eagles (4A), 68- 27, in their second game of the season. The Swifts came in with 10 points in the first quarter, trailing the Eagles by two points.

Swiftettes fall to Lady Greyhounds

The Nazareth Swiftettes suffered a loss to the Gruver Lady Greyhounds on Tuesday, 63- 47. The Swiftettes hit 16 of 45 field goals (36%) and nine of 26 3-pointers (35%), six of 10 free throws, collected 27 rebounds, 13 assists and five steals.

NRHC hosting Annual Candlelight at the Ranch

Candlelight at the Ranch has always been about celebrating a frontier Christmas, but four generations of volunteers in 43 years have made this event a Lubbock tradition as visitors gather for a pioneer Christmas from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Dec. 10 and 11 at the National Ranching Heritage Center.
