Surviving the lows and celebrating the highs of the past year

What a strange year the past 12 months have been for everyone, including Texas dairy farmers. As National Dairy Month begins, it seems a fitting time to reflect on both the lows and highs our state’s dairy industry has experienced since last June, and how they’ve impacted consumers.

Texas dairies celebrate National Dairy Month

The Texas Association of Dairymen – which represents Texas’ 395 dairy farmers in legislative and regulatory issues – invites Texans to celebrate June as National Dairy Month.

State FFA Convention set for July 5-9

The 93rd Texas FFA State Convention is scheduled for July 5-9 in Fort Worth, Texas. The deadline for convention registration is 11:59 p.m. on June 21. No changes to registration (including drops) will be allowed after that point for any reason and invoices will be final.

Golden Spread Classic set for June 24-26

Local FFA and 4-H cattle exhibitors will have the opportunity to show at the Golden Spread Classic Steer and Heifer Show. The annual show will be held in Levelland at Mallot Event Center in Levelland on June 24-26. Judges for the event will be Spencer Scotten and Dustin Frank.
