The Hinkson Memorial Campus recently hosted an Amarillo College Corporate Care Empowerment Workshop featuring Hector Paz Vallejo, Hereford Director of Operations at Nestle-Purina. The Empowerment Workshop was created to give students an opportunity to hear directly from local professionals about their career journeys, obstacles, and experiences that have helped them be successful.

JOINS SORGHUM CHECKOFF--Dr. Jourdan Bell is joining the United Sorghum Checkoff Program as Director of Agronomy on Oct. 1, succeeding Dr. Brent Bean, who retires Sept. 30 after more than a decade advancing sorghum production, research and producer education. Dr. Bell brings extensive experience as a Professor and Extension Agronomist with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, with a research focus on sorghum and other crops under limited water conditions.
