HERD, LADY HERD COMPETE AT DISTRICT CROSS COUNTRY MEET
Consistent summer rains spur this year’s pumpkin harvest
PAINTING ONE DAY--During the Happy One Day 4-H observance on Saturday, October 11, Deaf Smith County 4-Hers worked to make the best better by putting a new coat of paint on the Welcome to Hereford sign on the north side of Hereford. Laying on new paint are 4-Hers Johan and Josef Grotegut, Macy Betzen and Sam Detten. Civic club signs were removed while the painting was in progress and will be put back in place once the project is completed.
4-H AT WORK
MOONING THE WINDMILL-- Maybe Mother Nature was having a little fun situating the almost-full October harvest moon like it was looking to hitch a ride on the tail of the spinning fan of a classic Aermotor windmill near Dawn Sunday evening, October 5, or maybe the moon was just showing off its natural features to the clanking tower-- bringer of underground rain to the Plains.
