Choosing books to purchase and add to our collection here at Rhoads Memorial Library finds me listening to patrons' wishes and reading blurbs of works that I think might appeal to our readers. But I must admit that a catchy title can get my attention and an impulse purchase occurs.

Providing a safe, loving home for a dog is rewarding for many reasons, and it can sometimes be even more so for a canine companion with special needs.

'Doors are locked. Come back later.' That was the less-than-eloquent sign posted on our front doors here at Rhoads Memorial Library recently. High winds kept opening the doors a little at a time and we feared a gust might rip them off, hence the sign.
