Recent STAAR results show struggle in algebra

As partial scores begin coming in from the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STARR), results indicate that high school students continue to struggle with algebra.The STAAR end-of-course tests evaluate high-schoolers in five subjects: Algebra I, Biology, English I, English II and U.S.

After being hit with heavy rain on Monday, TPWD offi cials in Palo Duro Canyon State Park had to deal with heavy rains on Monday that caused heavy flash flooding in several areas of the park.

The final tally is 1,129 graduates for West Texas A&M University’s Class of May 2024.Overall, the University awarded 808 baccalaureate degrees and 321 master’s degrees to spring graduates at the May 13 commencement ceremonies, following procedural confirmation from the University’s seven deans.

T20 World Cup debut held in Dallas

Governor Greg Abbott celebrated making a bit of Texas history when the first ever T20 Cricket World Cup was played in the United States.“We hosted the FIRST EVER T20 Cricket World Cup in the United States— right at Grand Prairie Stadium,” said Abbott.
