Dimmitt cheerleader hopeful soaked up a lot of spirit and skills at the DHS Varsity Cheerleaders Mini Cheer Camp held on Aug. 5-6. Held at the DHS gym, the camp welcomed a large group of kindergarten through 6th grade students.

Julius Carpio from Dimmitt has signed to play baseball for the Lamar University Cardinals in Beaumont. This past season as a WTAMU pitcher, Carpio earned NCBWA Regional Pitcher of the Week and Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week.
