Grand jury returns 11 indictments

The grand jury met on Nov. 16 in the 242nd District Court with Judge Kregg Hukill presiding and returned 11 indictments.

Ricardo “Rica” Guillen Velasquez, 54 of Dimmitt, was indicted for possession of a controlled substance PG 1 over four grams-under 200 grams, which is a 2nd degree felony.

Two individuals were Indicted for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a 3rd degree felony, Domingo Cruz, 41 of Dimmitt, and David Cordova, 52 of Clovis, New Mexico.

Thirty-two-year-old Arthur Lee Rodriguez of Lubbock was indicted for driving while intoxicated with a child under the age of 15 in the car. Rodriguez is from Lubbock.

One man and two women were indicted for possession of a controlled substance, PG 1 over 1 gram-under 4 grams, a 3rd degree felony. The individuals were Angelica Cordova, 49 of Clovis, New Mexico, David Cordova, 52, also of Clovis, and Monica Madrigal, 37 of Earth.

Benjamin Boyer, 32 of Dimmitt, was indicted for evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle, which is a state jail felony.

Three were indicted for possession of a controlled substance, PG 1 and under 1 gram, a state jail felony. The men were Lorenzo Ortiz, 22 of Dimmitt, Leon Rodriguez, 47 of Dimmitt, and Appolonio “Paul Jiminez Florez, 77 of Dimmitt.
