DISD Coat Drive. New or gently used coats can be dropped off at West Texas Coffee, First Baptist Church or First United Bank. Sizes 4T to adult XL are needed. Monetary donations are accepted. Please contact Kendra Cantrell, Site Coordinator, 806-240-0500, with questions or for more information.

Castro County Sheriff’s Office Toy Drive. Drop boxes located at the Sheriff’s Office, 900 E. Bedford or the Castro County News. Forms can be picked up at the Sheriff’s Office or call 806-647-3311. Delivery dates Dec. 23-24.

Dec. 5

Make-A-Wish-Benefit. Hosted by Pink Ladies. 11:30-2 p.m. Chili, hot dogs, frito pies and all the fixins’. $10 per person. To go available. Dimmitt Country Club. 647-4502. Proceeds go to North Texas Make-A-Wish.

Benefits

Keep Homeless Veterans Warm. The Fashion Design students at Dimmitt High School are making denim quilts for veterans. Please donate any used denim jeans to help with the project. All donations should be dropped off at the DHS office by Dec. 10.
