Exhibitors from Castro County 4-H, Nazareth and Dimmitt FFAs have been busy showing their livestock at the Tri-State Fair in Amarillo.

Castro County 4-H juniors and seniors competed in the Livestock Judging Contest. Gracie White placed 4th in Beef judging and 7th in Sheep/Goat judging; Emily Durbin placed 9th in Sheep/Goat judging; Taryn Wethington placed 4th in Swine judging; and Daniel Schacher placed 10th in Swine judging.

The Castro junior team earned a 4th place overall.

Competing on the Castro 4-H senior team, Tanner Wethington placed 7th in Swine judging; the team placed 6th overall.

Nazareth FFA members also competed in the FFA judging contest.

Individual overall, Brett Heitschmidt placed 9th; and Tanner Wethington placed 10th and earned a 1st place in Swine judging. The Nazareth team placed 5th overall.

Naz FFA had several exhibitors in the Heifer Show.

Will Young won a 6th place in the Chianina breed, Class 2, late fall heifer calves.

Landry Kleman won the Limousin Reserve Champion title. He showed in Limousin Class 3, early fall heifer calves and placed both 1st and 2nd. In Limousin Class 6, spring yearling heifers, Kleman won 2nd place.

Brett Young won the AOB Reserve Breed Champion title and placed 2nd in AOB Class 2, late fall heifer calves.

Nazareth FFA had three exhibitors competing in the Lamb Show.

In Class 09 medium wool, Copper Farris placed 8th and Liset Martinez placed 9th. In Class 10 medium wool, Chesney Farris won 8th with her lamb.

For Dimmitt FFA, Ritzy Millican and Harlie Millican had a good day in the Market Goat Show.

Ritzy Millican placed 7th in the Class 01 Light Weight division. In Class 05 Medium Weight division, Ritzy took a 2nd place and was Reserve Division Champion, and in Class 06 Medium Weight, she placed 3rd.

In Class 02 Lt. Wt. Division, Harlie Millican took a first place and was Reserve Division Champion. In the Class 10 Heavy Weight division, she placed 2nd and earned the Reserve Division Champion title.
