Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton wiped out Griddy Energy customers’ outrageous electric bills totaling $29.1 million that they were hit with during the severe winter storm that left Texas frozen and thousands without electricity throughout the entire state.
The attorney general’s office sued Griddy under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act on behalf of 24,000 customers.
