Nazareth FFA State LDE students competed at the state competition at Sam Houston State in Huntsville. The state competition involves competing against all divisions of schools 1A to 6A, single teacher departments to 13 ag teacher departments, public schools to private schools.

Veterans Cemetery accepting pre-registration

After the Texas Veterans Land Board and the City of Lubbock broke ground on Nov. 17 for the new West Texas State Veterans Cemetery, preregistration is now open. The cemetery is expected to open in 2025 with more than 20,000 plots are open for veterans and their families.

Hegar transfers $8.5B to Rainy Day Fund

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he has completed the transfer of about $3.06 billion into the State Highway Fund (SHF) and $5.46 billion to the Economic Stabilization Fund (ESF); commonly known as the “Rainy Day Fund”).
