Donna Faye Hardesty Smith, 91 of Fort Worth, Texas, died on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021.

Gary Lynn Webb, 67, entered the kingdom of his heavenly father in the early morning of Dec. 19, 2021. He was born in Jacksonville, Texas, on March 13, 1954, to Carroll and Waldine Webb, the younger brother of Diane Webb. The family moved to Dimmitt in October 1956, where Carroll pursued several successful business ventures– from Minneapolis Moline irrigation motors to Webb-Mears Chevrolet–which would lay the foundation for Gary’s fascination with anything powered by a motor.

James “Larry” Buckley, 75, passed away at Covenant Medical Center of Lubbock on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021, after a brief battle with an aggressive lung cancer. He was born Dec. 8, 1946, in Dimmitt, Texas, to Gwen and James F. Buckley. His siblings are Janet (Jobey) Claborn of Muleshoe, Steve (Vicki) Buckley of Dimmitt, and Darrell (Beth) Buckley of Dimmitt.

Bailey Rae Espinosa, 25 of Amarillo, Texas, went home on Dec. 17, 2021.

Martha Jo (Baccus) Hyman, 83 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 10, 2021. Private family graveside will be held on Thursday, Dec. 16, in the Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery with a Celebration of Life Service following at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Jonathan Sullivan and Pastor Howard Rhoades officiating. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the home of Bill and Jo Settle, 715 W. Cleveland St., Dimmitt, Texas 79027.

Anita Schilling, 98, a longtime resident of Castro County passed away on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, in Dimmitt, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth, Texas with Celebrant Bhaskar Adusupalli and Deacons Bob Birkenfeld and Joe Hochstein officiating. Burial to follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Nazareth, Texas. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas. Vigil will be on Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. at the church.

Greta Davis, 82 of Hart, Texas, met her Lord and Savior face to face on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2021. A remembrance of her life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Hart Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt with Dr. Gene Meacham officiating.

Rex Lust, 69, lifelong resident of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, in Dimmitt. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Jonathan Sullivan officiating. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. Local arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Paul Menchaca, 61 of Hart, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021 in Plainview. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church at a later date with the Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Nino and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will be in Hart Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home.

Imelda Reyes Saenz, 88 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021, in Lubbock. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Nino and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. at the church.
