Luckily, I’ve got a little home office. It’s a place I can go sleep after my morning coffee. On Monday I had lots of time on my hands, so I took an online test to gauge my maturity level. It said I was “childish, obnoxious, and apathetic.” It said some other stuff, but I didn’t care.

We are fortunate to have a Library Advisory Board here at Rhoads Memorial Library who dispenses wise words of wisdom when the occasion calls for it. The five-member board of volunteers is filled by three Dimmitt residents, one Hart resident, and one Nazareth resident.

Do you remember elementary school recess? At our school, we ate lunch right before playtime. We’d line up single file to walk through the food line. The plate lunch often included gravy-laden mystery meat – beef or possibly bird – plus mashed potatoes and something green or yellow.

Texas Senate takes aim at internet content

The Texas Senate passed SB 2021 making it more difficult for children to access internet pornography by requiring users to verify their age. Senator Angela Paxton from McKinney stated that this content is especially malignant to the developing adolescent mind.
