Unity in Community

Body
In today’s culture, peace can be elusive. We are in constant communication with others by phone, text message, or social media. The unceasing claim upon our time by needy individuals can be exhausting. Not to mention the endless stream of bad news from around the world. All of this can leave us frazzled and broken. Where can we turn for any release?

Library Lines ...

Body
It is becoming a challenge here at Rhoads Memorial Library to keep our doors open as flu, strep throat, and COVID cases are on the rise. Last Friday, we had to close one hour early as I was still at home quarantining and both part-time workers became ill at separate times with different ailments (not COVID-related, thank goodness!).

Think

Body
I try to not say what I always think, but at times I think that rule needs to be modified. I have read numerous posts and heard a variety of points of view regarding the quarantine, but I am going to voice something as a mother, friend, or aunt that is touched by COVID-19.

Fishing With Father

Body
Fishing with my father was a religious experience. In fact, he said he felt closer to God while fishing than he did while sitting in church.
