Workbench in the Man Cave

Classroom Smells

Every day in my high school homeroom smelled different. Not better, but different. At that moment, we teens were bound together by one goal. We wanted to smell better, and we wanted to smell stronger. This required experimentation. Every morning I left home as a cornucopia of fragrances.

Patriotism and Compatriotism

The concept of patriotism is recognized as love or devotion to one’s country. I believe patriotism is cultivated from a love embodied in a family and community that underpins love for one’s country. This cascade of patriotism leads to compatriotism, identifying with a group of others.

Naz Community Blood Drive set for Oct. 25

The Nazareth Community Blood Drive, hosted by Coffee Memorial Blood Center, will be held on Oct. 25. The drive will be at the Nazareth Community Hall from 3 to 7 p.m. A photo ID is required, and donors must be at least 17 years old.
