Pet Talk

Social distancing has created a new sense of normal for many of us, including our pets. Dogs are probably excited that we are staying in our slippers all day, while some cats may be less than enthusiastic that we’re disturbing their outrageously long naps.

Getting through the pandemic

Newspapers in the United States have traveled rough seas to the First Amendment freedoms we enjoy today. From the colonial Stamp Act through wartime censorship to today, when thousands of newspapers were slammed with the public health emergency known as COVID-19, people who work for newspapers have never had completely smooth sailing.

Unity in Community

Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law. You are all children of God through faith in Jesus Christ, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Library Lines ...

Although the front door here at Rhoads Memorial Library still bears a "Closed until further notice" sign, we do stop by to check our book drop, check in items that are retw11ed to us, process mail, and return phone calls for those wanting to check out items via curbside service. Remember to call us at 647-3532 if you know a title or author you'd like to read, and we'll call you back to see if arrangements can be made.
