The Dimmitt Bobcats came through with a big win over the Tulia Hornets last Friday, 43-27. As the first quarter got underway, Tulia got on the scoreboard first, taking the lead, but Dimmitt’s Diego Santellano scored on a 69yard punt return to tie the game, 7-7.

The Dimmitt Bobcats lost a district game to the Friona Chieftains this past Friday, 5621. Dimmitt came in with the only touchdown in the first quarter on a 5-yard run from QB Jack Lunsford to take a 6-0 lead.

High School Coaches Day set for Nov. 3

Thanks to the Texas Legislature, Senate Concurrent Resolution 38 was passed by both the House and Senate and has designated the first Friday of November as Texas High School Coaches Day. High school and middle school coaches all over Texas will be celebrated on Nov.

The Dimmitt Bobcats fell to the Spearman Lynx in a district game last Friday, 45-19. Spearman gained a 28point lead over the Bobcats who scored a single touchdown in the first half.

Texas Tech scores win over Baylor

The Texas Tech Red Raiders scored a huge road-trip win over the Baylor Bears – quite a feat after last year’s loss 45-17. Overall, Texas Tech ended the game with 68 total plays for 356 total yards; 180 passing yards; 186 rushing yards; three punts; four penalties for 40 yards; one fumble and one interception.

Swifts fall to Whitharral

Whitharral, a UIL 6-man division II school, is ranked seventh in their division by Max-Preps. Nazareth gave the Panthers all they wanted, but five turnovers against two for Whitharral hurt the Swifts.
