Swifts fall to Eagles, 44-33

The Nazareth Swifts lost their bout against the O’Donnell Eagles, 44-33 last Friday. The Eagles scored the first touchdown of the game in the second quarter, with Nazareth answering with a Zane Schulte touchdown on a 4-yard rush and extra points by Will Young, putting Naz up 8-6.

USDA awards Texas HHSC funds for fraud prevention

The Southwest Regional Office of USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service has awarded the Texas Department of Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) $723,564 to help improve their recipient fraud prevention, detection and investigation efforts by implementing principles from the SNAP Fraud Framework.

The Nazareth Swifts came in with a big win over the Hart Longhorns, 57-8. The Swifts had 17 first downs, 29 rushes for 265 yards, six receptions of 12 passing attempts for 110 yards, three fumbles, two penalties for 15 yards, 20 tackles and three sacks.

The Nazareth Swifts came in with a big homecoming game win against the Groom Tigers, 65-16. Nazareth came in with 16 first downs, 27 rushes for 255 yards, five completed passes in eight attempts for 113 reception yards.
