The Nazareth Swifts advanced into the Area playoffs against Springlake Earth after a win over the Follett Panthers, 40-24. Nazareth won the Area game against Springlake, 6228, and will advance to the State Quarterfinals.

The Dimmitt Bobcats faced the Levelland Lobos in the first basketball game of the same and lost that contest, 53-41. Levelland took charge in the first quarter and gained a seven-point lead over the Bobcats.

The Dimmitt Bobbies lost to the Hereford Lady Whitefaces in their game on Friday, 46-36. Hereford took the lead in the first quarter of the game 9- 6, but the Bobbies battled in the second quarter, outscoring the Lady Whitefaces, but still trailed 24-19 as the first half came to a close.

Nazareth Swifts and Swiftettes gained a new team and organization travel decked out in team colors and style thanks to the Naz school board and administration. Friends and family were invited to come out during the Tuesday game to tour the new addition.
Longhorns defeat Elks 73-13

The Hart Longhorns came in with a big win over the Cotton Center Elks, 73-13, in their final game of the season. The Longhorns dominated the game, getting things started in the first quarter with a 45yard run and touchdown by Hugo Perez, with Draven Dominguez putting up two extra points.

Cross country teams and individuals from Dimmitt High School and Nazareth High School competed in the Texas UIL State Cross Country Meet in Round Rock this past weekend. The 1A and 3A competitions were held at Old Settler’s Park on Saturday.

The Dimmitt Middle School 7th grade football team beat the Tulia Hornets by a score of 28-20, behind a great performance by running back Victor Lozano who rushed for 283 yards, scoring three touchdowns and two 2-point conversions.
