The Nazareth Swifts brough home the Bi-District title,after defeating the Adrian Matadors 86-24 in the first round of the playoffs at Amarillo Caprock High School.

Halley Wales of Dimmitt, Texas, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Wales was initiated at Texas Tech University.
Dimmitt Robotics #15151 advanced to the UIL 1-4A State Robotics championships. Anistynn Birdwell, Sarah Morales, Pablo Perez, Riley Ramos and advisor Coach Don Bell.

The Castro/Hale/Lamb Agronomy Agent with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is hosting themonthly Ag Mastermind series at the Hale County Extension Service focusing on tree pruning. The program begins at 9 a.m.and is typically an hour in length. There is no fee to attend.

More than 80 employers will meet with hundreds of West Texas A&M University students at the annual Career and Internship Expo on Feb. 22. The expo, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb.
Dimmitt High School HOSA members competed at the Area Conference held in Amarillo at the Amtech Academy. Placing were Henry Ramirez, 7th place, Health Career Photography; Celeste Moya, Tania Hernandez, Martin Rodriguez, 1st place, Sports Medicine; Jasmine Nunez, 1st place Medical Arts Poster; Renae Chavez, Kenzie Phan-Dezirae Davila-Kheyla Castaneda, 3rd place, Health Education; and Kaylie Furr, 2nd, Nurse Assisting.
