Whitharral, a UIL 6-man division II school, is ranked seventh in their division by Max-Preps.
Nazareth gave the Panthers all they wanted, but five turnovers against two for Whitharral hurt the Swifts. Nazareth fell behind in the second quarter and couldn’t catch up.

Naz FFA to hold lamb jackpot, clinic

The Nazareth FFA will be holding its Lamb Jackpot and Clinic on Oct. 19. The event is limited to FFA and 4-H members.
The scales will open at 7:30 a.m. and weight cards are due by 9 a.m. The clinic will be from 9 to 10 a.m. with showmanship classes for junior, intermediate and senior participants.

The Nazareth Swifts lost their bout against the O’Donnell Eagles, 44-33 last Friday.
The Eagles scored the first touchdown of the game in the second quarter, with Nazareth answering with a Zane Schulte touchdown on a 4-yard rush and extra points by Will Young, putting Naz up 8-6.
