Swiftettes claim Area title The Nazareth Swiftettes advanced to the Regional quarterfinals after winning the Area championship played at Panhandle on Feb. 17. The Swiftettes beat the White Deer Bucks 86-43.

QB Tyler Shough

Former Oregon quarterback Tyler Shough is headed to Texas Tech University to join Red Raider football. Shough, who entered the transfer portal earlier this month, announced he will be transferring to Texas Tech to continue his career.

Bobcats end season second in district

Bobcats v Brownfield The Dimmitt Bobcats fell to the Brownfield Cubs, 65-49, as they vied to claim the District title on Friday. The Bobcats took the lead in the first quarter 15-10, but the Cubs offensive came on strong in the second quarter to close the gap and move ahead by two points, 32-30, as the first half came to a close.

Despite the cancellation of the Levelland meet this past weekend, the Dimmitt Bobbies Powerlifting stayed hard at it to continue qualifying its members for Regionals. Weather has forced the cancelation of many high school sporting events across the state as a deep freeze, ice and snow made it too dangerous to travel.

Naz Robotics off to strong start

Despite a delayed start to the season and plenty of changes due to a certain virus, Nazareth Robotics is back in the thick of the action. Nazareth Robotics just completed the First Tech Challenge North League Meet #2 with solid wins and rankings.

Swiftettes headed into playoffs

The Swiftettes ended their regular season of conference play with a big win over the Texline Lady Tornadoes, 88-7, and earned Nazareth another District Championship title. This will send the Swiftettes into the playoffs with a bye on the Bi-District round.

Bobcats top Chieftains, 67-40

The Dimmitt Bobcats defeated the Friona Chieftains 67-40. The Bobcats gained a solid lead in the first quarter, 24-12, and the offense continue to hit in the second quarter, pushing the lead to 39-19.
