The Texas Girls Coaches Association Track Committee selected Nazareth senior Emma Kleman as a 1a-4a Legacy All-Star among the 20 All-Stars from conferences 1-4 in track and field. Kleman won the state title in the 3200-meter run and was runner-up in the 1600-meter run.

The Dimmitt Bobcats ended their playoff run at the Area game with a loss to the Tornillo Coyotes this past Saturday, 4-0. The game slipped away with no runs on the scoreboard and batters struggling against a tough Tornillo pitcher who lasted seven innings, allowed three hits and zero runs.

The Dimmitt Bobcats are moving deeper into the playoffs after beating Childress two-out-of-three games and claiming the Bi-District championship round. The Bobcats will face the Tornillo Coyotes (11-6, 4-0) this Saturday in the Area Championship round.
