DHS Powerlifting weighs in with wins

The Dimmitt Bobbies and Bobcats Powerlifting teams participated in meets on Jan. 23 and Jan. 30. Dimmitt High School hosted both the Dimmitt Invitational Meet and the Bobcat Bash in that order, with boys and girls divisions. The Bobbies came out on top in team placings in both their meets.

Bobcats top Chieftains, 67-40

The Dimmitt Bobcats defeated the Friona Chieftains 67-40. The Bobcats gained a solid lead in the first quarter, 24-12, and the offense continue to hit in the second quarter, pushing the lead to 39-19.

Swiftettes dominate Lady Eagles, 100-8

The Nazareth Swiftettes dealt a crushing defeat to the Channing Lady Tigers on Tuesday, 100-8. The Swiftettes offense took charge of the court with big lead in the first quarter, 27-0.

Nazareth Swifts crush Tigers, 73-20

The Nazareth Swifts soundly defeated the Hartley Tigers in a conference matchup, 73-20, on Tuesday. The Swifts drove out into the lead, 22-4, in the first quarter and continued pounding the boards I the second quarter to close out the first half, 44-6.

Swiftettes fall to Lipan, 26-39

The Nazareth Swiftettes fell to the Lipan Lady Indians in a non-conference game, 39-26. Lipan took the lead in the first quarter, 13-6, and continued to widened the gap as the first half came to end, 25-14.

Swifts score big win over Adrian, 96-24

The Nazareth Swiftettes picked up an easy conference win over the Adrian Lady Matadors, 99-13. Nazareth dominated in the first half, scoring 28 points in the first quarter and 30 points in the second, while holding Adrian to zero, putting the Swiftettes up 58-0.

Swiftettes crush Lady Mustangs

The Nazareth Swiftettes defeated the Wildorado Lady Mustangs in a conference game, 93-37, keeping them on top of the district. The Swiftettes’ offense gained a wide lead in the first quarter of play, 49-17 and ended the first half with that score.

The Nazareth Swiftettes picked up an easy conference win over the Adrian Lady Matadors, 99-13. Nazareth dominated in the first half, scoring 28 points in the first quarter and 30 points in the second, while holding Adrian to zero, putting the Swiftettes up 58-0.

The Swiftettes won another conference game , defeating the Hartley Lady Tigers, 78- 26 Ṅazareth pushed out on top in the first quarter, 27-19, and continue a solid offense in the second quarter, to close the first half out leading 46-7.
