Bobbies defeat Maidens, 51-31

The Dimmitt Bobbies defeated the Friona Maidens in a conference game, 51-31. The Bobbies took an early lead over Friona in the first quarter, 14-10, and widened their lead in the second quarter to close out the first half ahead, 23-14.

Bobbies fall to Golden Tornadoes, 57-51

The Dimmitt Bobbies narrowly lost to the Lamesa Golden Tornadoes, 57-51. Dimmitt led in the first quarter, 17-7, but the Lamesa offense came on strong in the second quarter, taking the lead 32-25.

DHS robotics compete in virtual meets

Dimmitt Robotics participated in two virtual meets on Jan. 16. The results are posted for the Virtual Panhandle North League Match #1. Seventeen teams participated and Dimmitt’s team #12398 placed 2nd; team #15152 placed 9th; and team #13755 placed 11th.

TDLR launches new open records request portal

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has launched a new online portal, the TDLR Open Records Center, for accepting and processing requests for records under the Texas Public Information Act.

Swifts defeat Cowboys

The Nazareth Swifts beat the Happy Cowboys in a conference game, 65-21. The Swifts positioned themselves with a strong lead in the first quarter, 18-4, and continue to attack the net, pushing out front 32-9 as the first half ended.

Swift crush Mustangs, 67-26

The Nazareth Swifts beat the Wildorado Mustangs 67-26 in a district game. The Swifts charged out ahead in the first quarter, 27-8, and continued to widen their lead in the second quarter, to close out the first half 38-11.

Swiftettes trounce Cowgirls, 46-15

The Nazareth Swiftettes defeated the Happy Cowgirls in a district game, 46-15. Nazareth took charge of the net in the first quarter, pushing out ahead of the Cowgirls 16-2.

Swiftettes pound Lady Eagles

The Nazareth Swiftettes claimed an easy win over the Channing Lady Eagles, 98-11. Nazareth jumped out ahead in the first quarter 26-2 and continued to hit from the field and widen their lead in the second quarter, closing the first half out, 52-6.

Swiftettes crush Lady Tornados, 68-19

The Nazareth Swiftettes captured a big victory over the Texline Lady Tornados, 68-19. The Swiftettes jumped out front with a big lead in the first quarter, 25-2, and continued to widen the gap in the second quarter, holding Texline to a mere eight points and closing the first half out ahead, 37-8.

Swiftettes defeat Lady Eagles

The Nazareth Swiftettes were victorious over the Lubbock Christian Lady Eagles, 46-38. The Swiftettes took the lead in the first quarter, 15-9, and continued to advance in the second quarter to close the first half out ahead, 25-15.
