Nazareth FFA Chloe Birkenfeld received the Dann Gunn Memorial Scholarship. The Dann Gunn Memorial Scholarship Endowment was established by Andrew Dorow and Tatum Gunn Dorow in 2017. The scholarship is awarded to students studying Agricultural Education with a Teacher’s Certification in the Department of Agricultural Education and Communications. Preference is given to non-traditional students with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Thirteen Dimmitt High School students placed in the top three spots in recent District UIL contests, earning them a trip to Regional competition held April 26-27, in Abilene.
DHS senior Pablo Perez has advanced to the State UIL competition set for May 13 in Austin. He placed second in mathematics at the April 26-27, Regional competition held in Abilene, which qualified him for the state event. The only state qualifier this year from DHS, he is the son of Robert Perez and the late Astrid Perez.
