Israel formally declared war this past Sunday against the Palestinian Hamas and ordered the complete siege of Gaza after the militant organization attacked several locations in Israel on Saturday.

National Night Out brings community together

Dimmitt Police Department partnered with other local government agencies for National Night Out on Oct. 2. Police officers, assisted by city and county employees cooked up and served hamburgers to attendees as they enjoyed a dunking booth, face painting and a bouncy house.

Lubbock voters to decide on ME facility

The decision on a new Lubbock County Medical Examiner’s Office will be decided by voters in the upcoming election. Lubbock County commissioners have proposed the use of more than $35 million in debt funding to build what would be a state-of-the-art facility.
