Local students graduate, make Dean’s list at ENMU, ASU

Eastern New Mexico University's Greyhound Arena hosted Spring Commencement at ENMU-Portales, with 427 candidates walking across the stage for graduation on Saturday, May 14, The following area students graduated: Nazavy Barron and Esperanza Guerrero of Hart.

Children who have completed first through fifth grade will have unique opportunities for summer activities through Texas Tech University’s National Ranching Heritage Center (NRHC). The Summer Youth Classes will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 13-17.

Naz Swifts State Bound

The Nazareth Swifts punched their ticket to state, beating the #1 ranked Ira Bulldogs in two of three games in the Regional playoffs this past weekend. Both teams came to the Region I-1A baseball championship series undefeated.

DISD announces staff changes

The 2022-23 DISD school year will bring some changes to staffing, both in administration and coaching. Maritssa Flores will be relocating from the Richardson Elementary campus to become the Dimmitt High School principal.
