Marsha Cobb, a native of Castro County, announced she is running for Castro County Judge in the Republican Primary Election on March. 1. Early voting for that election begins on Feb. 14 at the Castro County courthouse in Dimmitt.

Bobcats v Denver City The Dimmitt Bobcats came through with a conference win against the Denver City Mustangs, 50-43. The Bobcats shot for 20/46 (43%) field goals with 6/17 (43%) 3-pointers, 4/7 (57%) free throws, 24 rebounds, 14 assists, 12 steals and one block.

Swiftettes defeat Lady Tornadoes, 76-19

The Swiftettes claimed a big conference win over the Texline Lady Tornadoes, 76-19. Nazareth scored 27/50 (54%) field goals with 9/21 3-pointers, 13/17 (76%) free throws, collected 19 rebounds, 20 assists, 21 steals and two blocks.
