Author Vicki (Melin) Schoen of Amarillo was the guest speaker of Dimmitt Book Club when they convened recently in the meeting room here at Rhoads Memorial Library. She recounted her experiences as a writer, detailing her writing process. Schoen was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle.

Coffey: Remembering the Legend

Inspiration for students can come from past DHS athletes, and Junior Lee Coffey was one of those who distinguished himself for Dimmitt High School in the late 50s and early 60s. A legend to Dimmitt football, Coffey passed away on Aug.

Benefit chili cookoff, golf tourney set for Sept. 25
