The 43rd Lubbock Arts Festival presented by United Supermarkets is scheduled for July 24-25 at the Lubbock Civic Center. The theme this year is Out of This World? A Celebration of Outer Space, Astronauts and Space Tra Travel.

According to a June 2021 report by the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), the Texas dairy industry — including production and wholesale and retail sales — accounts for a total economic impact of $50.3 billion in Texas, or nearly 3 percent of the gross state product.

Two suspects charged with aggravated kidnapping

Lubbock Police arrested two suspects who attempted to kidnap and hold captive two victims on July 15.

Naked knocker arrested in Lubbock

A man was arrested for public intoxication Sunday knocking on doors in a North Lubbock neighborhood completely naked. According to a police report, Lubbock Police officers responded to a call at 3rd Street and Temple Avenue about 8:15 a.m.
