Snack Pak 4 Kids of Dimmitt thanked BHE Renewables for their generous donation to the program. There are currently over 200 students in Dimmitt ISD that receive weekly snack bags throughout the school year and summer months. The program is 100% funded through local donations and 100% of all donations is used to purchase food for the students. Last Thursday saw many Texas bills meet their demise, though hundreds did make it through to the next round.The Texas House had to meet a midnight dealine on Thursday for granting preliminary approval, with the Senate deadline being on Friday.
The Nazareth Swifts baseball team advanced to play Hamlin and winning the Regional Semifinals against O’Donnell in three games: Game 1 - Naz 1 – O’Donnell 4; Game 2 – Naz 10 – O’Donnell 6: Game 3 – Naz 14 – O’Donnell 13. The Swifts will play Hamlin on Thursday in Lamesa for the Regional title.
