IN LINE--This chart shows that even with a hike in water and sewer rates, monthly charges in Hereford will be in line with a good many surrounding cities, including Amarillo.
City water, sewer rates will increase in February

In a move in line with needs to conserve water and build infrastructure, the Hereford City Commission approved proposed new water and sewer rates at their January 5, 2026 regular meeting. The approved rate increase becomes effective in February.
