In accordance with Texas Water Code, the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District (HPWD) Board of Directors is seeking public comment on proposed Desired Future Conditions (DFCs) for Groundwater Management Area (GMA) 1 & 2.

Nazareth seniors Emma Kleman and Luke Betzen were presented their $1000 scholarships by Ag Texas. Mark Kleman, Tami Griffitt and other staff members made the presentation.

Two Dimmitt High School graduates have been named to the Eastern New Mexico University Spring 2021 Dean’s List. Arien Mendoza and Isabel Vargas both earned their way onto the list. To be named, a student must complete a minimum of 15 credit hours with a GPA of 3.25 or greater.

The Dimmitt Cemetery Association will hold its 2021 Annual Meeting and workday on Memorial Day, May 31 at the cemetery. Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery is located one mile south of Dimmit on FM 3215.
