Six Nazareth Ag students earned the TCFA Machinery Operation, Maintenance, and Repair certification after two full days of training. The group was tested on their knowledge of wheel-loader and skid-loader operation, proper lockout-tag-out procedures, arc welding, oxy-fuel cutting and bending and interview with industry professionals. The certification course was sponsored by WTAMU and Texas Cattle Feeders Association.

The Nazareth girls XC team competed at the Texas UIL Cross Country State 1A competition this past weekend at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. There were 146 runners in the 2M Split.The Naz team placed fourth overall with an average time of 13:45.5.

Castro County vets to be honored

Veterans Day in Dimmitt will see area Castro County former and president military men and women honored for their service and sacrifice to their country on Nov. 11.Throughout Dimmitt, the Rotary Club will placing American flags at businesses and government offices.

State sales tax revenue $4.01B

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced state sales tax revenue totaled $4.01 billion in October, 5.4 percent more than in October 2023.The majority of October sales tax revenue is based on sales made in September and remitted to the agency in October.
