Glenn Anthony Ehly, 67 of Nazareth,Texas, passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov.10, at 10 a.m.

Legendary coach passes away

Coach Dean Weese, legendary coach in the Texas Panhandle, passed away on Oct. 28, leaving behind an incredible legacy of basketball coaching. Weese amassed an amazing 1,207-197 record in a 42year coaching career at the high school, colligate and professional levels.

Bobby Lee (Bob) Kay passed away on Oct. 17. Bob was born to Ovry Virgil Kay and Minnie B. (King) Kay in Maysbelle, Garvin Co., Oklahoma. The family moved to Texas when he was 14. He attended Plainview High School where he enjoyed sports, especially basketball and football.

Olivia Ortiz, 95 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023, in Amarillo, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Celebrant David Contreras and Deacons John Nino and Richard Martinez officiating.

John Craig Fuller, 76, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023. He was born to Winfredand Catherine Fuller in Dimmitt, Texas, on Dec.30, 1946. John was a DHS and WTSU graduate. He was drafted into Vietnam war as Sgt with 1st Cav, US Army.

Bobbie Ruth Wooten Hill passed away at her home with loved ones on Aug. 11, 2023. Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 10 a.m., at Hart Cemetery with Rusty Wooten (greatnephew) officiating with funeral arrangements being under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.
