QAnon is becoming a threat to the country with it fantasy and conspiracy theories and false predictions. It gained momentum over the past three years and has developed into an extremist religio-political ideology.

Last Wednesday, Jan. 6 the U.S. endured an attack on our capital that will be written in history books as a horrific moment in the Republic. As the attacks are cycled on the news 24 hours a day, there is the question that lingers: what if it had been anyone else besides Trump supporters?

The holiday season, or anytime is a time to show appreciation to our loved ones, both people and pets. Handmade toys and treats are a wonderful way to do so and allow owners to avoid busy stores during the pandemic, to ensure their gift is pet-safe, and to add a personalized DIY touch.

A wintery, snowy decor has replaced Christmas decorations here at Rhoads Memorial Library. So, for the few people who will admonish us for leaving Christmas items out too long (and they will), prepare yourself to hear me say, "These are not Christmas decorations.

Today, dogs are fatter than ever. It’s now estimated that 45 percent of all U.S. dogs are either overweight or obese. That’s 35 million dogs. What’s worse, obesity can be life-threatening, too.

As many of you know, we have four kids. I am not saying all the days were roses and sunshine, but we have finally hit a place where we all love and respect each other. We are as healthy as many families want to be and some are hoping to be someday.
