The Dimmitt Bobcats scored a narrow victory against the Lamesa Golden Tornadoes, 54-52. The Bobcats took a lead in the first quarter, 17-6 in the first quarter, and widened the lead in the second quarter, 27-14.

The Dimmitt and Hart boys powerlifters competed at the Lockney Longhorns on Monday, with the DHS Bobcats claiming a first place. There were 53 powerlifters at the meet from six schools.

The Dimmitt Bobbies powerlifters competed at the Frenship Tiger Invitational this past weekend and racked up another first-place team win. Dimmitt was among 84 lifters from 12 schools at the THSWPA meet.

The Nazareth Swiftettes chalked up another win after defeating Springlake Earth, 62-27. Nazareth took a single point lead in the first quarter, 9-8, and their defense and offense went into action in the second quarter, sinking 22 points while holding Springlake shooters to zero, closing the first half out, 22-9.

The Nazareth Swiftettes chalked up another win as the end of the season nears, beating the Lady Roos, 6526. Nazareth move out ahead in the first quarter, 12-9 and extended the lead to 35-16 by halftime.

The Nazareth Swiftettes took a big win over the Hart Ladyhorns last Wednesday, 100-12. The Swiftettes hit for 46 of 80 field goals with six of 20 three pointers, two of six free throws, collected 40 rebounds, had 35 assists, 24 steals, one block and seven fouls.

The Nazareth Swifts claimed another victory over the Hart Longhorns, 64-19. The Swifts took an 11-0 lead in the first quarter and extended their lead to 31-9 by the end of the second quarter.

The Nazareth Swifts came in with win on Tuesday against the Kress Kangaroos, 89-29. The Swifts dominated the game through all four quarters, starting with a 21 point lead in the first quarter, adding another 10 points in the second quarter to close out the first half 41-10.

The Dimmitt Invitational Powerlifting Meet is in the books. Eight schools, including Dimmitt and Hart, participated with a total of 127 lifters competing.

The Nazareth Swifts came out on top against the Happy Cowboys, 45-33. The Swifts took the lead in the first quarter, 15-7, and maintained the lead through the second quarter to close out the first half, 22-16.
