Kleman named Legacy All-Star

The Texas Girls Coaches Association Track Committee selected Nazareth senior Emma Kleman as a 1a-4a Legacy All-Star among the 20 All-Stars from conferences 1-4 in track and field. Kleman won the state title in the 3200-meter run and was runner-up in the 1600-meter run.

Swifts advance to Regionals

The Swifts won the Semi-Final Championship against the Kress Kangaroos on Tuesday, 8-1, and will advance to the Regional finals, playing either Baird or Westbrook. The Semi-Final game was a single winner take all, and the Swifts got the job done.

Bobcats cut short against Coyotes

The Dimmitt Bobcats ended their playoff run at the Area game with a loss to the Tornillo Coyotes this past Saturday, 4-0. The game slipped away with no runs on the scoreboard and batters struggling against a tough Tornillo pitcher who lasted seven innings, allowed three hits and zero runs.

TTU to host football summer camps

Texas Tech University is gearing up for summer football camps beginning on June 3-4 with two of days of youth camps before transitioning to a series of camps for high school athletes and junior-college prospects.

West Texas A&M had scheduled a wide array of summer camps that include football, basketball, volleyball, soccer and equine sports for youth this summer. Additionally, there are STEM and band camps.

Bobcats capture Bi-District title

The Dimmitt Bobcats are moving deeper into the playoffs after beating Childress two-out-of-three games and claiming the Bi-District championship round. The Bobcats will face the Tornillo Coyotes (11-6, 4-0) this Saturday in the Area Championship round.

Kleman clenches 3200M state title

Two Nazareth track runners traveled to Austin to compete in the UIL Track Championships held at Mike A Myers Stadium in Austin this past weekend. Senior Emma Kleman came home with the state championship title in the 3200-meter run with a 11:33.
