Two Nazareth track runners traveled to Austin to compete in the UIL Track Championships held at Mike A Myers Stadium in Austin this past weekend. Senior Emma Kleman came home with the state championship title in the 3200-meter run with a 11:33.

The Nazareth Swifts baseball team are the district champions and eyeing the playoffs with an undefeated district record for the regular season, 16-2, 6-0. The Swifts first playoff game (Bi-district) will be on May 6 against Follet in Sunray at 5 p.m.

Naz tennis comes on strong at Regional

The Nazareth Team of eight athletes qualified to play in the 1A Regional Meet last week after having a successful district meet. Boys doubles team, Luke Betzen and Trent Gerber and mixed doubles team Carson Heiman and Harley Gerber won the Regional championship round and advanced to state.

The Dimmitt Bobcats scored a big win over the River Road beating them, 10-1 on last Thursday. The Bobcats kicked off the first inning, scoring two runs on an error, while keeping River Road runs to zero.
