Naz Tennis doubles teams Harley Gerber and Carson Heiman and Trent Gerber and Luke Schulte played their way to Regional championship titles and will playing at the state tennis tournament in San Antonio on April 26-27.

Driver killed in fatal car accident

A Hereford resident died after colliding with a truck and semi-trailer this past Thursday morning. Rachel Martinez, 39 of Hereford, was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu traveling west on US 60 in the inside lane approximately 8 miles west of Hereford in Castro County.

Texas unemployment still improving at 3.9

In March, the seasonally adjusted Texas unemployment rate was 4.4 percent, a decrease of 0.3 percentage points from February 2022, and 2.0 percentage points below the level set one year ago. The not seasonally adjusted rate was 3.9 percent.

DHS track teams attend Brownfield Cub Relays

The Dimmitt Bobcats and Bobbies varsity and junior varsity track teams competed at the Brownfield Cub Relays this past Friday. Eight school attended the meet, including Muleshoe, Brownfield, Tahoka, Littlefield, Dimmitt, Sweetwater, Roosevelt and Pecos.

Hart Robotics 19782 team traveled to the State UIL 1A-4A Division meet to compete against some of the toughest teams in the state. After a day of qualifying rounds, the group came in 15th overall.

Dimmit 3rd/4th graders win Hub City Tournament

Dimmit 3rd/4th graders win Hub City Tournament

The 3rd/4th grade Dimmitt Bobcats won the HUB CITY COURTS small towns tournament, with 12 teams participating in the tourney. The BOBCATS beat Friona, Lovington, New Mexico, Jal New Mexico, lost to Dalhart then had to beat Lovington again. The team beat Dalhart to win the championship rings.

The Hart varsity tennis team competed at the Regional tennis meet in Levelland on Monday. Doubles players were Anthony Palacios and Diego Lujan, and Lauren Valdez and Adamaris Ramirez.
