The phone rings several times a day at my “office,” a place under the stairs where we used to store cleaning supplies. I equipped it with a TV tray to hold my computer, and a carboard box to house my “research materials.” My hope was to attract customer calls for writing assignments.

Who are your heroes? Maybe you’re a sports fan; your heroes are on the front page of magazines. They make millions of dollars for their talents and you make it a habit to watch them every week. If a survivor of COVID, many believe the men and women in medical occupations are heroes.

Golden Spread EC contributes to local VFDs

The Community Involvement Committee (CIC) of Golden Spread Electric Cooperative, Inc. and Deaf Smith Electric Cooperative are giving back to local communities with a cumulative donation of $7,200 to 16 volunteer fire departments, including the Hereford Volunteer Fire Department.

The Dimmitt High School One Act Play (OAP) cast, directors and stage/tech crew won another “Advancing Play” in the UIL bi-district competition with their performance of “Her Senior Year” in El Paso and set to compete at Area on Wednesday in Seminole. The play was written by Codee Moore.
