Our precious mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Maxine (Winters) Tidwell, of Frisco, Texas, went home to our Lord on March 11, 2022. She was 93 years young, born on May 1, 1928, in Littlefield, Texas, to Grace (Green) and Pirron Winters.

Dorothy Maye Sheffy, 96 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, in Dimmitt, surrounded by her family. Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 4, at 1 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Jonathan Sullivan officiating.

Miller

Murna Loy Welch Miller, 91 of Austin, Texas, peacefully entered the kingdom of her Heavenly Father on Feb. 8, 2022, surrounded by all her children. Our precious Mom and Nana was born Oct. 5, 1930, on the family farm northeast of Friona, Texas, the seventh and youngest child of Ford and Lucy Welch.

Garcia

Agnes “Angela” Garcia, 67 of Hereford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, in Hereford. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, Feb. 11, at 1 p.m. at Good News Church with Pastor David Alvarado and Pastor Lorenzo Martinez officiating.

Jerry Watts, 79, passed away on Feb. 1, 2022. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 3, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the fellowship hall at the First Baptist Church in Dimmitt. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

John Allen Woodson, 78 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. in the Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Kris Knippa officiating. Local arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Debra Kay Lopez, 66, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, in Littlefield, Texas. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, Jan. 28, at 1 p.m. in the Abundant Life Family Church in Dimmitt, with the Rev. Tom Mullins officiating.

Hastings

Emma Lou Hastings died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, in her home in Grand Junction, Colorado. Emma Lou was born to Dixie and Gordon Bradley on a farm near Sunnyside, Texas on Sept. 10, 1928. She was the fourth of six children.

Diann Leatherwood, 75 of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, in Lubbock, Texas. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, Jan. 28, at 10:30 a.m. at the Fourth & Bedford Church of Christ with Dr. Jonathan Sullivan officiating.
