DHS Bobbies softball played well at the Hale Center Tourney, with two strong wins in three games. Players of the Game were Nina Vasquez (first game), Alina Mora (second game) and Julia LaRue (third game).
The Dimmitt Bobcats brought home championship from the Floydada Tournament this past weekend. Members of the team, varsity and travel team are Santiago Chaves, Daegan Robertson, Marcus Aquero, Isaiaha Sifuentes, Jed LaRue, Traiden Worsham, Samuel Gonzalez, Jaden Rodguez, Mario Lopez, Jorge Pena, Edwin Macias, Oscar Rodriguez, Ga’Quoire Chatham, Juan Amina and Jose Medina.

Nazareth Swiftettes brought home another state basketball championship trophy, the 25th in the team’s history, after 31 appearances at state since 1976, with nine of those in the last 10 years.
DHS Azariah Gonzales , senior, placed fi rst in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:24.41 at the Plainview Bulldog Relays on Feb. 24. His time was a personal record.
The Dimmitt Bobcats won the Region 1-3A Area Championship last Friday to advance to the Regional quarterfi nals.
