DHS, HHS compete at Plainview XC meet

Dimmitt and Hart XC teams competed at the Plainview Invitation Cross Country Meet held at Running Waters Draw Regional Park this past Saturday. Divisions were split between 1A-2A; 3A-4A; and 5A-6A.

Bobcats fall to Eagles, 56-6

Dimmitt had a tough homecoming game this past Friday, falling to Lubbock Roosevelt Eagles 56-6. The Eagles got scoring underway in the first quarter with a touchdown on a 4-yard run and kick, putting them in the lead, 7-0.

TTU begins search for MSU president

The Texas Tech University System (TTU System) Board of Regents and Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., named a search committee on Sept. 16 to assist in finding the next president of Midwestern State University (MSU Texas).

Bobcats defeat Sunray, 30-12

The Dimmitt Bobcats came in with a big win over the Sunray Bobcats at the homecoming game on Friday. Sunray got the action started with a touchdown on an 18-yard pass in the first quarter, no extra points, putting them up 0-6 over Dimmitt.

Swifts defeat Tigers, 40-22

The Nazareth Swifts came through with a strong win over the Groom Tigers on Friday, 40-22. Groom took the lead in the first quarter, scoring a touchdown on a 30-yard pass with extra points, 8-0.

Naz FFA scores well at livestock judging contest

Nazareth FFA hit the road to Clarendon to compete in their first livestock judging contest of the season hosted by the Texas Branveih Association. -Intermediate team 1st and 2nd overall teams Harper Johnson - High Point Individual Emily Durbin.

Dimmitt, Hart compete at Borger XC meet

Dimmitt and Hart high schools attended the Borger Cross Country Invitational this past weekend against some solid competition. Men’s 3 Mile Run – Varsity (12 teams/100 runners) from Perryton, Dumas, River Road, Dimmitt, Canadian, Borger, Booker, Texline, Dalhart, Boise City, Ascension Academy and Panhandle.

Bobcats defeat Mustangs, 14-6

The Dimmitt Bobcats won their game against the Olton Mustangs, 14-6 this past Friday. The Bobcats lost the first game to the Littlefield Wildcats last week, giving them a 1- 1 record thus far.
