Nazareth FFA hit the road to Clarendon to compete in their first livestock judging contest of the season hosted by the Texas Branveih Association. -Intermediate team 1st and 2nd overall teams Harper Johnson - High Point Individual Emily Durbin.

Dimmitt, Hart compete at Borger XC meet

Dimmitt and Hart high schools attended the Borger Cross Country Invitational this past weekend against some solid competition.

Bobcats defeat Mustangs, 14-6

The Dimmitt Bobcats won their game against the Olton Mustangs, 14-6 this past Friday. The Bobcats lost the first game to the Littlefield Wildcats last week, giving them a 1- 1 record thus far.

Hart, Dimmitt XC get season underway at Canyon

Dimmitt Bobbies/Bobcats and Hart Longhorns/Ladyhorns competed at the Canyon 6 Mile Relay this past weekend as the season begins for both teams. According to Hart XC Coach Ruby Romero, her teams competed well.

Swifts topple Mustangs, 52-38

The Nazareth Swifts scored a solid win against the Claude Mustangs this past Friday. 52-38 Ṅazareth took control of the game early with Kayle Rogers scoring on a 2-yard rush and Trent Gerber adding extra points.

Texas hunting, fishing licenses on sale

With current year licenses expiring on Aug. 31, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) have advised that hunting and fishing licenses are now available for purchase for the 2021-22 hunting season. The exception is the Year-from-Purchase-All-Water-Fishing Package.

Sod Poodles lose Thomas, Frias

The Amarillo Sod Poodles will be losing two fan favorites on the roster. Outfielder Alek Thomas and RHP Luis Frias were promoted to the Diamondbacks Triple-A Reno Aces this past Monday. Thomas, 21, finished his season in Amarillo hitting a .288 batting average with 41 RBI and 10 home runs.

Naz FFA Agronomy Team

The Nazareth FFA Agronomy Team traveled to Dumas to practice for the Nationals with the help of Remmington Seed and Gavilon. The state champion team will compete in Indianapolis in October.
